5 Things I Do NOT Like to Share

Hellooooo!

Today, I'm in the mood to ramble... So this post will be kinda random, just some of my thoughts! :)

Y'know people are always saying that good things are meant to be shared? I only agree to a certain extent... How about you guys?

There are some good things that i do not like to share! Hey, i'm just being honest! :)

5 Things I Do NOT Like to Share

1. My man / bf
No need to explain. However, i don't mind his fam / bros of cos! :)

2. My scent
I don't know about you guys but i think that i won't feel comfortable if my close friends smell like me.  Thankfully, my gfs & i use different perfumes! :)

3. Secret spot / hangout
I'm actually a pretty private person. But aiya, i usually end up sharing anyway. :/

4. My best / good friend(s)
I don't like to share my bff / good friends with the people that i dislike. It's just uncomfortable la... And i believe a good bff / friend should stand by you & not the other person.

5. Certain type of shoes?
Hygiene la. Y'know those tight pumps with no openings / cannot air feet one? Feet confirm sweat like mad & become very smelly! Sometimes you can even see sweat stains or black dirt... LOL!!! Hmmmm... Unless it's those rubbery type? (e.g. Crocs) Cos can wash! :D

* * * * *

Hahaha! I really enjoyed writing this post! I shall ask some gfs another time what are 5 things that they do not like to share! Gonna be interesting! :)

The Number Five

Number 5 is a beautiful and significant number to me. As a New Creation Church member, i believe in grace and number 5 means, grace. :)

Therefore, if you had noticed, Seeds of Sarah's main banner (title) has 5 little dots which represent 5 seeds! You can have a look here. We also used 5 lil seeds for our logo.

Ahhh~ So now you know! ;)

So imagine how i felt when i came across this on Facebook!

5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays & 5 Sundays! :)

It is said that this month, March 2013, we have 5 Fris, 5 Sats & 5 Suns! It is also said that it's extremely rare for this to occur as it only happens once in 823 years!

Do you guys know when did we launch Seeds of Sarah?

We launched it on the 1st of March 2013!!!

God knows how significant this number means to us and time & time again, He used His subtle ways to reaffirm us! I'm so thankful to have such an wonderful heavenly Father!

I am touched beyond words.

Maybe over time, i will slowly talk about SOS... Our initial plans... What we had first planned, etc, & what happened after that...

I just found out last Sat, during my photoshoot session, that the studio i'm now working with is also called Seed something. How coincident is that??? Lol, i really didn't know until halfway during the photoshoot!!! I was blown away.

My God is really an amazing God! ;)))

Dessert Gang @ Chock Full of Beans!

Finally, the busy friends & i caught up with each other over dinner & coffee!

A brief intro of the beloved Dessert Gang, lol! D.G = Cheris (Rishy), Cedric (Ced), Lily & iiiiii! We were classmates during our lower secondary school days & this year, we turn 10!!! Time flies... ;*)

I'm so thankful to God for placing them into my life!!!

Thank you guys for all the good & the bad!
I'm so happy you guys are still by my side. ;)

Dinner was sooooo mehhhh that i'm not even gonna talk about it.

Let's skip to coffee, weeee!

* * * * *

Coffee was at Chock Full of Beans! Been dying to visit the place & i finally did so! Coffee is never awesome without a good company, don't you think so? I'm really glad D.G was there with me to make my first visit such a memorable one!

I can safely say that the 4 of us didn't expect C.F.O.B to be located at a HDB area. We expected a larger floor space & thought that the cafe was located at a more quiet district.

I have to admit that i was a lil taken aback & disappointed (with the location & size of the cafe) in the beginning but love for the cosy hideout started brewing as minutes passed... It must have been the lovely staff & good coffee!!!

Great choice of wall color & texture.
Cosy, cosy! ;)

Well known for their coffee art, they succeeded in making us happy!

Just look!!!

Cedric's caramel latte - Despicable Me's Minion

My cappuccino - My Melody

Rishy's cappuccino - Totoro

My 2nd cup, latte - Hello Kitty

HOW CUUUUUUUTE!!! ;D

I enjoyed the coffee so much that i ordered two cups for myself!

What i liked most about the coffee is that it was very fragrant yet not overly bitter (i didn't add any sugar to my coffee btw). Loved the biscuit that came along with the coffee. Absolutely loved the coffee art even more! Price's reasonable to me - $4.50 for a regular cup!

I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a simple place to catch up with your friends over coffee! Do note that they do not sell a wide range of desserts (currently, only 2 cakes) & i heard that their food's just mediocre! Perhaps the next time i visit, i'll try out some food & let you guys know my honest review! ;)

Four 23-yr-olds playing sparklers @ the playground

Hahaha, to celebrate Ced's scholarship, 3 of us decided to surprise him with a simple 'celebration' at a playground near Rishy's place!

Just imagine four of us with our lit sparklers jumping around and shouting "SCHOLARSHIP! SCHOLARSHIP!" Lolllllll. Seriously, till today, we still don't behave our age!!!

Ced, we are sooooo proud of youuuuuu! Jia you! Continue to work smart & do all of us proud!

And D.G, please remember our lil coffee cheer @ Chock Full of Beans --- "WE WILL BE RICH!" ;))))

Watsons Friendly!

Ok, sometime back, Cleo sent me a Revlon package!

Cos i won some lucky draw =D

As i don't really like to apply a lot of make up (i usually just apply eye make up, nothing else on the face), i didn't get to use it until.... Just now. Hehe!

Thank you Cleo Magazine & Revlon! ;)

I've never tried any other primer before, so i can't do a comparison for you girls.

However, i must say that i had a very pleasant first-time experience with Revlon's Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer Base!

I slapped on some primer on my face after washing/toning/moisturising & was surprised that it was so easy to apply! Felt like some kinda face cream!!!

After primer, i powdered Revlon's PhotoReady two-way foundation all over my face & true enough, i was photo ready!!! =D

Coverage was good yet not cakey. The foundation also blended really well with my skin without any effort!

Best part was, i didn't touch up or anything but came home to find my make up still well in tact. YAY! Scoreeeee~~~

My skin's pretty sensitive & i'm so, so, so, so pleased to share that i didn't get any rash or any pimple / break out!!! I'm definitely keeping these two products! ;)

P/s: Do check out Revlon's counters @ Watsons! ;)

Twistband - Hair accessory!

Okayyy...

So i walked into Watsons (@Ngee Ann City) & i die-die had to buy something, you know? What else but Twistband?!

I heard A LOT about it & here's what tempted me to get it:

1. It's good for the hair cos it's gentle, unlike many other hair ties
2. It doesn't leave unsightly marks on hair after tying
3. Can be worn in a few ways; Hairband / hair tie / wrist band
4. Comes in many colors / patterns / lengths.

My verdict: Really super gentle on the hair! No pulling / tugging feeling!!!

I'm happy with my buy! $6.95 for 3 short, bands is a lil pricey... However, the material used is really soft & gentle for tying hair! Hurray to healthy hair! ;)

Pets & Food = HAPPY JO!

I'm sorry guys!!!

I have never expected to blog about food like, all the time!!! Honestly, i'm usually home... Either working w my sis or hanging out with my bf + spending time with my dog. I only head out to meet my friends once in a while...

These days, i've been staying home to dog-sit three doggies! Teeheehee! ;)

They need A LOT of attention so i try to stay home whenever i can to take good care of them! I feel that they're all getting better now...

You guys should already know my toy poodle, Buttercup a.k.a Butter, by now... So meet the other two pomeranians! Ebel (white) & Milus (brown)! :)))

So adorable, aren't they?
I really enjoy going home to them! ;)

Support adoption!!!

Do NOT buy from puppy mills!!!

Do NOT buy from pet farms or pet shops!!!

P/s: Visit & support my friend's online pet store - Nekojam

I'm currently buying from Debrah too! Super love the terrific service! :)

Ok let's proceed!

I really didn't expect to visit MEIDI-YA so soon again, but i did! I was having some serious uni craving while bf had some sashimi craving. We head to MEIDI-YA to satisfy our cravings AFTER DINNER at home. LOL. Yes, we ate again, right after dinner. :D

Please refer to my previous post here for more info regarding MEIDI-YA. Basically, go there to get good sashimi & good beef! :)

Uni & Salmon Belly :)

Jap cake on sale!

I also managed to score a pretty good deal, LOL! I finally tried the cake i've always wanted to try... Because it was on sale. Not that it was damn cheap but it was about $2 cheaper?

I don't know what the above is called, but it's a sweet cake, made in Hokkaido. It has a very light texture! Very nice each time you take a bite. I got the original flavor! It's on sale till 11th March 2013 if i'm not wrong. So hurry down to MEIDI-YA if you're a sweet tooth like me! :)

One of my favourite Chinese fishsoup stalls in Sg! :)

Yesterday's lunch was at Ng Soon Kee Fish & Duck Porridge! I super love ordering both the fish soup & duck, with a bowl of rice. Perfect combi. It's an awesome comfort food. Be sure to order BOTH duck & fish soup ok? And be prepared to wait!

I know of this place since i was a lil girl. My dad brought my family there! Fell in love with the food the first time i tried it! Food standard has always been consistent! :)

I'll leave you guys the address & contact number. Do call before you head down to ensure that they're opened that day. You can also order 1 hr in advance to avoid the long queue! :)

Dinner @ The Ranch!

Hahaha! Yes, i headed back to The Ranch once again! Told ya i love this place! ;)

I usually hang out with my good friends here!

It's the relaxing environment + good food/drinks + friendly staff + affordable price that get me going back again and again!

This time, i had the Grilled Dory Fish! Lovin' the soft, melty dory with the bell sauce that goes along with it. The brownie dessert with ice cream is a MUST-HAVE! Pls doooo try it! It is the ONLY brownie that i eat!

First time trying the cuttle fish ball with sambal sauce. I found it not bad but some of my friends found it a bit spicy. If you can't take spicy food, order something else... I'd recommend you to order their famous smoked duck!!! ;)

Eat Again.

So i spent my day..... eating again!!!

And well, i'm supposed to be on a diet. Mmmhmmm. Okayyyy! Tmr onwards, no more supper & cut down on food intake ok!!! ;)))

Today's lunch!

I love NT to the moon and back!!!

NT = Northern Thai.

Food there's a SHIOK with two thumbs up (Y)(Y). NT is famous for their Northern Thai Tom Yum Soup - which is a thick, milky tom yum soup with deep fried fish (and loads of onion & tofu). Must also order the pad thai ok!!! The other fried noodles looked really good too (but i haven't tried before)!!! Do also try the deep fried fish w/ lemon + garlic!

Important: MUST REACH before 2.30PM! If not the NT Tom Yum Soup OOS already! You're welcome!

FAV Chill Place! :)

Jas & i had a dinner appointment with a friend, Alvin, and we brought him to my favourite chill out place, The Ranch

Thank you, Alvin, for helping us without asking for anything in return! Jas & I are both really grateful. We hope you enjoyed the dinner! :)

To me, The Ranch is an awesome place to hang out with your friends. There's something about The Ranch, perhaps the people there? Through a good friend, Lily, i got to know a few gems there. They are really nice & friendly people! :)

The ambience makes you feel relaxed and at ease. Now of cos food is yummehhhh! Or else, a foodie like me wouldn't return at all. Good news for you guys! Price is also reasonable weeeeeeeee!

Choose between indoor or outdoor seats. I usually pick indoor seats! I suggest you make a booking before heading down! Will leave address and contact at the end of the post. :)

We ordered tenderloin steaks (x 4), smoked duck, a glass of house wine (do check out their wide selection of wines... some are even hard to find else where!) for me & two brownies with ice cream for dessert! Everything was really very yummy! SHIOK.

I frequent The Ranch so i know what's nice! It's impossible for me to talk about all the dishes here... Perhaps the next time i visit, i'll pick diff dishes so that i can blog about them here ok?

I've brought a few friends to The Ranch and so far, EVERY SINGLE ONE said the food's good & they like the place! :)

All of you should give The Ranch a try! FYI, female manager there is hot and nice. Wakakaka!!!

Dim Sum Sunday!

I love Sundays so much!!!

I usually spend my Sundays at church in the morning, have lunch with my bf after that, head back to rest before having dinner with my family to end the night! ;*)

Yesterday was quite different!

I woke up late... Too late for church service. So le bf & i decided to have brunch together! We were feeling some dim sum so we headed to Serangoon Gardens Country Club's Yum Cha for some dim sum lovin'!

In SOS' Candy Crush Top & SOS' accessory.
Stay tuned for the upcoming collections! ;)

And of cos, just had to wear my suuuuper cuuuute JS Pink Poodle!
Diggin' the top! Awesome for school, movie dates, casual days! ;)

Yummers! :)

A quick verdict, as usual...

Peanuts were nice appetizers! The fried custard buns were DA BOMB. Must order!!! Dumpling in soup was so yummehhhhh (added loads of red vinegar in! Mmmmm~)!!! BBQ scallop siew mai-s (the yellow ones with roes) were meh (won't bother orderin the next time), egg tarts' off standard yesterday - were unusually a tad too sweet for my liking. Har gao-s (steamed prawn dumpling?) were also great & xiao long bao-s (soup dumplings) were very yummy!

I personally like Yum Cha! I especially like the SGCC outlet! I'm quite a regular there! :)

After brunch, bay dropped me off at Katong Shopping Centre for my Teo Heng session with my SPC mates + Kai! SPC is a photography club filled with loads of singers... LOL! Teo Heng's awesome for cheap karaoke man! :)

Gotta wait for my friend, Isaiah, to send me our group photo!!! So for now... Here's a pic that he sent me over Whatsapp!

Pink Hair VS Green Hair :D

Kai (guy with green hair lol) can really sing man! His live like a power only~~~ The guy friends were all impressed! Click here to view some of his videos! :)

Oh ya, it was funny when Kai and i walked together. My other SPC friends said that a lot of people kept staring at us cos of our hair. LOL. Plus my JS Pink Poodle shoes... Must have been an epic sight to many! :)

Guess what all of us had for dinner???

LOL....

DIM SUM!!!

Neptune HK Dim Sum @ Marine Parade Food Centre!

To be honest, i was a put off when i heard "dim sum" initially. But i didn't wanna be a spoiler so i kept num and went along with the dinner suggestion. To my surprise, i actually enjoyed my meal!!! So glad that i found a new dim sum place! Cheap! ;)

Thanks, Eric!!! ;)

Quick verdict: Everything was not bad! I liked the steamed pork bun, fried prawn dumpling, carrot cake (not in pic, sorry). The rest were also not bad. We didn't try the xiao long baos (soup dumpling) but i'm definitely heading back there again! Will try the XLBs soon! I heard there's crab meat inside!!

After dinner, everyone went their separate ways...

& I just had to disturb Butter when i got back! WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Hard to capture Butter on cam!

I realised that Butter's a lil camera shy! Too bad for her, her mummy's not v camera shy, as you all can see... LOL! Sorry luh, i just didn't wanna waste the make up. :P

Sorry Butter, you know that mama loves you!!!

Played around with GREEN concealer for the very first time!

After disturbing Butter, i played around with some newly found concealer & started disturbing le bf. HAHAHAHA!!! I doodled on my face and interrupted him from his game!

"Babyyyyyy, come hereeeeee!!!"

"Why?"

"Just comeeeee..."

*He walks over*

*I pretend to use phone, to hide my face from him...*

*I suddenly show him my face!*

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

His reaction: He pengz ("fainted") on the bed & i think he probably called me "siao" (crazy)! Ehhhh, but i always make him laugh ok! Pftttt. K lah, after a while he called me cute woohoo! So ding ding ding! GF-BF, 1-0. (Managed to lure him off his computer seat!)

He saw my face like that, he also happy la... Flew to the sky already... So he decided to reward me with supper! WEEEEEEEE!!! WAHAHAHAHA!!! Ding ding ding, GF-BF, 2-0!

The yumy beef & ox tongue from MEIDI-YA!!!!
Jap instant mee also from there! :)
Sauce DIY.

Yumz yumz yumz yumz! Nuff said! Refer to my previous post for MEIDI-YA's address ok! :)

OK! THE END!

LOL! :)

MEIDI-YA + Pink Poodle! :D

Le bf was craving for quality sashimi earlier & so we went to get some for dinner!

We were recommended by his dad to get quality sashimi from MEIDI-YA, a Jap supermarket, at Liang Court. Best decision ever!

We were blessed that we went on the right day! We got really, really fresh & newly flown-in batches! *Mmmmm!*

LOL. We went a lil overboard! Total bill came up to $5xx!

We got Toro, Uni, Salmon Belly and Salmon Roe!

Quick verdict: BEST JAP DINNER EVER!!! Worth every bit of money spent!

Uni was sooooo fresh!!!

This was how we ate it, you guys can try it too!
1. Get a small piece of seaweed
2. Add some uni on it
3. Sprinkle some salmon roe
4. Add just a lil wasabi + jap soy sauce
5. Wrap it and pop it into your mouth and oooooooo... Enjoy the moment~~~~

I ate the uni by itself too! Superb! (Y)

The salmon belly and toro were also to-die-for! Simply delish! Esp the toro - Melted.in.our.mouths! Best to have hot sake along with your meal! That was what we did & one word: SHIOK!

If you're interested, here's a price guide for you!

We also bought some beef for our Jap BBQ tmr! Can't wait for lunch tmr, teehee!

Yes, yes! You can also find good beef (for bbq, sukiyaki & shabu shabu) at Liang Court too! Do visit MEIDI-YA soon! You will find loads of awesome stuff there! :) :) :)

For sashimi, as there are two Fish stalls, please buy from the stall on the LEFT! I tried both, LEFT side one is a lot better!!! Different companies.

* * * * *

As if dinner didn't already make me a very happy girl, my baby passed me something that got me so excited!!! It's my belated V'day pressie from him - the latest Jeremy Scott Pink Poodle!!!

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

This pair of shoes were just put on the shelves yesterday! So blessed that he managed to get it today! Been waiting for it even before it came to Singapore! I knew about this pair of shoes last year!!!!!

THANK YOU, MY DEAREST BABY!!!
I loooooooooove you!!!
I really looooooove the shoes too!!! ;)))

This shoes' the perfect shoes for me because:
1. I love Jeremy Scott's works!
2. I love poodles!
3. I love hot pink!

Spot my toy poodle, Buttercup!!! Her ears are hot pink too!

Don't worry, her dye's SAFE. I love her too much to do anything harmful towards her! Her dye's done at her grooming place, Petopia, using natural plant extract which is perfectly safe for dogs! ;)

I call her "Butter" btw! Her other recent nicknames are "Ter-ter" (turtle) & "BATA"! LOLLLLL! ;)

Happy girls! ;)

So Jas & i had a simple celebration, just now, to celebrate our launch! ;)

Me & all the other doggies at Sun Ray Cafe!

Just look at my tired face... Lol! Been working every day and night for the entire week! Finally, one load off the shoulder! Am thankful we took some time off to relax! ;)

What we ordered at Sun Ray Cafe.

My quick verdict: Soft shell crab was ok-ok only. Escargots... I always love mine with loads of garlic & sadly, the ones at Sun Ray didn't have garlic. Personally, i won't order it again. The wild mushroom soup, however, was DA BOMB!!! I will definitely head back for more!!! *YUMZ!*

I also ordered my favourite tea - Pearl of the Orient! It was first introduced to me by my friend, Veronica. I fell in love with it the moment i took my first sip! You'll love it if you enjoy light, flowery teas!

Sun Ray Cafe is pet-friendly! I always love bringing Buttercup (my toy poodle) there! They serve dog food as well! E.g. boiled beef, boiled salmon, boiled lamb.
